I am very pleased to offer a monthly meditation evening to be held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at Ruskington Methodist Church hall.

You will be welcomed with refreshments, an informal chat and opportunity to meet and greet likeminded people, before settling to be guided through a relaxing guided meditation. We will then have an opportunity to share your experiences if you wish over further refreshments.

A simple meditation is a wonderful way to take an all important time-out from the hustle and bustle of every day life, as well as a way to quieten and refocus the mind, calm and restore the body and reflect on life or issues that are troubling us.

By disconnecting from our everyday tasks and focusing on just one thing, be it a word or sound, an image or symbol such as a flame or by concentrating on our own breathing, we can become refreshed and refocused with clarity of thought or vision and become more attentive to our higher guidance.

All techniques and guided meditations used during our evenings will be made available to you, either in printed or electronic form, so that you may continue to practice your meditation at home.

I am also very pleased to offer a monthly Reiki Share evening on the 1st Wednesday of each month, hosted at Ruskington Methodist Church hall. During the Reiki share evening, which I might add is open to anyone with a Certificate in Reiki, you will have the opportunity to meet with and share experiences with likeminded people and have the chance to give and receive Reiki healing.

We will also practice different Reiki techniques, such as Byosen Reikan Ho and Reiji Ho Scanning techniques; sending Reiki with the eyes and breath - Gyoshi Ho and Koki Ho, and also practice working with Crystals and Pendulum.

We might even throw in a Reiju^* empowerment for good measure!

^* Reiju is the Japanese term for what was first called an initiation in the West and is currently known as an attunement. It is a ritual initially used and taught by Mikao Usui and appears to have a two-fold action:

• A sense of reconnection to one's true self
• A clearing of the meridians allowing the student to conduct more energy through the body
