Newcastle - our new event for 2010!

A friend of BSSK is the webmaster for a website where therapists register their services. He decided to look for where we should take the shows next, by looking for areas where there were a large number of therapists registered, but no show.

The thinking behind this was that if the area supported a large therapist contingent, there must be enough public interest in complementary therapies and associated areas to support this.

Sounded good to us and the place he came up with? Newcastle!

This coincided almost to the week with two exhibitors independently asking us why we didn't consider Newcastle. On already did the Rock n' Gem show there and reported it to be one of their best, the other had done a tiny one day event for a charity and said it was packed out with the public bemoaning the fact that there was nothing bigger in the area.

Being great believers in synchronicity, three hits are good enough for us. The universe doesn't have to prod too hard before we get the message, so Newcastle, here we come!

Many of our regular exhibitors come from way down South, and while happy to travel to the Midlands, did do a double take at the prospect of the extra distance to Newcastle. Many however, have decided they don't want to miss a new BSSK show and are making the trip - bless them. Not all can though, so this is a wonderful opportunity for us to welcome some new faces to the BSSK 'family', so that the show will still offer the usual mix of complementary therapies, divinations and readings and retail stands.

The Racecourse came highly recommended as a venue, both for space, facilities and easy location. After a bit of a false start (no pun intended) due to a new batch of racing fixtures they were not expecting making our chosen date unavailable, we settled on 23rd & 24th October to launch the first BSSK Newcastle event!
