- There are 12 signs of the Zodiac. The course covers the attributes of each sign e.g. Libra - balance, Gemini - duality, able to do more things at once than average etc. This is the foundation knowledge needed to understand the rest.

- There are twelve houses to be considered all representing different areas of life - Finances, Relationships, Creativity, Communication, Career etc.
- Angles are highly important areas of the chart, Ascendant (the rising sign) Descendant, Mid Heaven, Nadir (foundation point).

- Each planet has its own unique energies. i.e. Sun - true you, Moon - Emotional, Venus - Relationships, Mercury - Planet of the Mind, Mars - Action & Drive etc.
